Myanmar Turn to Andersen to Spark Football Revival
Myanmar are set to appoint former Hong Kong head coach Jorn Andersen as their new national team manager, with the Myanmar Football Federation expected to confirm the Norwegian’s arrival in the coming days.
Andersen, who guided Hong Kong for more than two years before leaving in May 2024 to join Chinese club Yunnan Yukun, travelled to Yangon this week to finalize the terms of his contract.
His appointment could set up a reunion with his former side, as Myanmar prepare to compete in Division 2 of the inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup, which will be held in Hong Kong from September 21 to October 5.
