Al Shorta Overcomes East Bengal in Five-Goal Thriller

Iraq’s Al Shorta fought back from a first-half deficit to defeat India’s East Bengal FC 3-2 in a Group D encounter of the AFC Champions League Two 2026/27. The match took place on Tuesday at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.

East Bengal initially took control of the match in the first half, courtesy of David Lalhlansanga, who successfully netted both goals for the Indian side.

However, Al Shorta responded after the interval under coach Sami Trabelsi. Goals from Ahmed Yahya, Hussein Al Saedi, and Kingsley Kuku overturned the deficit and secured the visiting team’s second win of the campaign.
