ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026 Tickets Go on Sale as Teams Gear Up
Defending champions Vietnam will begin their ASEAN Hyundai Cup™ 2026 campaign with a strong squad as head coach Kim Sang-sik looks to guide the Golden Star Warriors to a second straight regional title.
Key players Nguyễn Xuân Son, Nguyễn Quang Hải and Nguyễn Đình Bắc, who played leading roles in Vietnam’s 2024 triumph, are expected to spearhead the title defence. Vietnam have previously lifted the ASEAN crown in 2008, 2018 and 2024, but are still chasing their first back-to-back championship.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the ASEAN Hyundai Cup™ remains the region’s premier international football tournament. Vietnam will open their Group A campaign against Timor-Leste in Chonburi on July 24, with Singapore, Cambodia and Indonesia also competing in the group.
Singapore will rely on the experience of captain Hariss Harun and striker Ilhan Fandi as they pursue a fifth regional title and their first since 2012 under head coach Gavin Lee.
Indonesia, meanwhile, are aiming to end a long wait for their maiden ASEAN championship. After finishing runners-up a record six times, head coach John Herdman has assembled a squad featuring several players who helped the nation come close to qualifying for their first FIFA World Cup.
